Langtang valley trek is one of the beautiful trekking region of Nepal. Langtang valley offers 360 view of gorgeous mountains. We will explore the Tibetan influenced culture, lifestyles, different flora and fauna. This trek is one of the easy and short trip which takes you near the base camp of many mountains.
The stunning view of Kyanjim Gompa(3800m) is really amazing. We will further hike to the Tseko Ri to capture sunrise view over the mountains. This trek takes you through bamboo and rhodendron forest and lots of waterfalls. We will explore different rural village of this region. During our trek we walk along the Langtang National Park, which conserve different kinds of rare animals such as Musk deer, Red Panda, Himalayan Thar, and Cheetah and so on.
The langtang Valley Trek starts after driving about 160km North West from Kathmandu. We reach to Syabrubensi which is the starting point of our trek. Sybrubensi lies on the bank of Langtang River. Next day we cross the Langtang River and trek to Lama Hotel.
Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Airport, A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will wait outside of the airport with your name signage to welcome you to the beautiful country Nepal. He will take you to the hotel. In the day, there will be trip briefing. We will provide you much more information in the briefing which help you to prepare the trip nicely. In the evening you can explore touristic city Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trip preparation
Today we will go to explore UNESCO world heritage site of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. In the evening, there will be trip briefing with trek members along with you. We will give you much more information about the trip which helps you to prepare for the trek nicely. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi
Today we will leave for Syabrubensi from Kathmandu by passing Nuwakot district. We will see beautiful landscapes, local villages, rivers, forests, different kinds of animals and reach to Dunche. Dhunche is the district headquarter of Rasuwa district. Next half an hour drive from Dhunche takes us beautiful town of Sybrubensi. The driving to syabrubensi from Kathymandu is about 6 hours. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel
Today we will trek to Lama Hotel after crossing the bridge over the Langtang River. We reach to hot spring and Pairo where some tea houses are located. From Pairo we see the beautiful view and we can stop for some tea coffee break. We see Thulo Sybru on the other side. We continue our trek to Bamboo through dense forest. Bamboo is located at the bank of Langatang River. Normally we stop for the lunch at this place. We continue our trek to Lama Hotel by passing beautiful waterfalls, landscapes. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village
After having breakfast, we begin our trek to Langtang village. Langtang village is the most affected village due to earthquake 2015. About 200 people have been killed due to massive earthquake hit the Nepal. About 9000 people died all over the Nepal. We walk through dense forest and river gorges to reach to the Ghodatabela. We normally stop for the lunch in this place. About an hour hike from Ghodatabela, we reach to the Thangshyap. The forest opens up after reaching Thangshyap. We walk through open meadows to the Langtang village. The old Langtang village now shifted in a new place. Overnight in Langtang village.

Day 06: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa
After having breakfast, we start our trek to Kyanjin Gompa. In the clear day, we will have very beautiful view of mountains when we reach the top of the Langtang village. We reach to Mundu village within an hour from Langtang village. Today's trail is not very difficult but gaining altitude might be an issue. We walk along the bank of Langtang River. We cross several monasteries before reaching Kyanjin Gompa. We pass by local hydropower and reach to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 07: Acclimatization-Explore Tserko Ri
Today we start our trek before the sunrise. Today is reserved for the Acclimatization day at Kyanjin Gompa. Early morning, we hike to Tseko Ri to capture the stunning sunrise view over the glorious mountains. It does not necessary to reach the top of the hill. We will set our own boundaries when hiking. We will take pictures, videos and return back to our Tea Houses to have food. On the day, we can go around the Kyanjin Gompa to explore more about this place. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
We trek down to Lama Hotel via Mundu and Langtang village. First an hour to the Lanmgtang village might be windy due to mountains and rivers nearby. We further walk down from Langtang village and reach to Thangshyap. We trek down to Ghodatabela through the forest. We walk through the dense forest to reach to the Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 09: Lama Hotel to Syabrubensi
We start our trek to Sybrubensi today. First we reach to Bamboo where we had lunch before. We trek down to Pairo and Hotspring. From the hotspring we climb uphill for half an hour. We cross the bridge over the Langtang River and reach to the Sybrubensi. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

Day 10: Syabrubensi to Kathmandu
Today we take a bus or Jeep to reach to the Kathmandu. We reach to Dhunche, the district headquarter of this region. We drive through local village, beautiful landscapes, rivers and reach to Kathmandu. The drive from Sybrubensi to Kathmandu is about 6 hrs.

Day 11: Final Departure
Your wonderful journey to Nepal come to an end today. A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will drop to you at the airport, about 3 hours before your flight. We say Good Bye for this time and hope to see you in Nepal again for the next holiday.

1.How high is Langtang valley Trek ?
The starting point of Langtang Valley Trek : Syabrubensi is 2380m and highest point Kyanjin Gompa is is-3860m
2.How fit do I need to go trekking to Langtang Valley Trek ?
Langtang Valley Trek is not very difficult trek. Although, average fitness is required to complete this trek. We walk so many ups and downs through the stone path, forest and mountains side, cross so many bridges, walk along the ridges of the mountains.
3.Where am I sleeping at night ?
After walking long hours in the day in the mountains, we need to require good sleep in the night. You will sleep at the Tea houses having basic facilities. You will provide enough blankets and sleeping bags which helps to warm your bed in the mountains. Except high elevation area, you will have good sleep. In high elevation area, if you manage to sleep few hours, that will be also ok because we can sleep next day when coming down.
4.Which is the best season to Trekking in Langtang Valley Trek ?
Langtang Valley Trek can be done throughout the year. Although in the monsoon season(June & July), It rains a lot. And in the winter, it snows heavily in the high mountainous region.

- How easy or difficult Langtang Valley Trek ?
Langtang Valley Trek is moderate to strenuous trek. Lower section, you will feel easier but when we gain elevation, we might feel strenuous. In high elevation, we make our pace slow to achieve our mission.
6.Is drinking water easily available during the trek ? Is it safe ?
We can find mineral water in the Tea Houses which is 100% safe to drink. If you are using tap water for Drinking, You can use water purification tablets. Due to national park rules and regulation in some section, We cannot buy water bottles. We need to use boiled and filtered water which we can find in the Tea Houses.
7.How do we Travel from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi ?
We can reach Syabrubensi from bus park, which takes about 6-7 hrs. Travel distance from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi is 137 Km. We drive along side of Trishuli and Langtang river with the panoramic view of local houses, farmlands, beautiful hills etc.
8.What food do we get in mountain?
We normally get local hygienic and fresh foods. Although there will be different varieties of Chinese, Continental, Indian foods. Your Guide will help you to choose the foods from the Menu.
9.What happens if I get sick in the mountain?
Having minor health issue is normal in mountains. You may have common cold, minor headache which is common in mountain. But if you have serious high altitude sickness, we have to come back. In worst case helicopter evacuation will be done.
10. what kind of accommodation we can get during the trek ?
The Tea House in the mountain will be basic. Although we can find room having attach bathroom, in some areas. you have to inform in an advance if you want more facilities room.
