Annapurna Region is one of the top destination chosen by the trekkers as two-thirds of the trekkers, mountaineers in Nepal visit the Annapurna Region. This region is easily accessible and reliable for the tourists, hotels in the hills are plentiful for accommodation and this trek offers good scenery of Natural beauty. Annapurna region trekking is the second best and most popular trekking point of disembarkation in Nepal after the Everest region climbing along with Everest Base Camp Trekking. It is the second home for the Himalayas and adventures loving trekkers and climbers. This area includes the appealing peaks of over 8000m above sea level, Annapurna Conservation Area (7,629 square kilometers), and exotic flora, fauna and ecosystem. Annapurna I of this region is the tenth highest mountain in the world. It is the resident of over 100,000 trekkers in a year.

Saying that one can gain some serious altitude in Nepal, Lonely Planet has suggested going trekking in Annapurna for October. “Do your bit for Nepal’s economy and enjoy spectacular views as a reward. Everyone has seen the news reports from the 25 April earthquake in Nepal, but most reports neglected to mention that most of Nepal were untouched by the disaster, including the most popular trekking areas. With the clearing of the monsoon rains, October is once again peak season for trekking, and the Annapurna region is a great, nay epic, place to start,” the guidebook writes. Lonely Planet writes further: “In the process of visiting the region, one will be performing a valuable social service, helping Nepal to rebuild after the disaster by investing directly in the local economy.”

The trials in this region pass through Lamjung, Manang, Mustang, and Kaski (Myagdi) going anti-clockwise from Besisahar to Nayapul and reaching Thorung La Pass at an altitude of 5416m. It provides the view of series of mountains like Manaslu Himal, Langtang Himal, Annapurna II and IV, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) and Dhaulagiri passing through the world’s deepest gorge (Dana) in between two 8000m plus peaks
