Amadablam Base Camp trek starts after 40 minutes scenic flight to Lukla. This trek is suitable for people who want to enjoy the best view of Everest Region along with making trekking days shorter.
This treks offers us magnificent view of Everest(8848m), Lhotse(8516m), Nuptse(7861m), Amadablam(6812m),Khantega(6787m), Cholatse(6440m), Tabuche(6495m) and so many mountains. This treks also offers us to explore Sherpa lifestyle and culture. Visiting Sagarmatha Museum gives us insightful information about entire Khumbu region.
This trek is less crowded off the beaten trek. After landing at lukla we headed off to Phakding(2650m), the first day of our trek. Second day we reach to Namche Bazaar(3440m), the unofficial Sherpa capital of Khumbu Region. We continue our trek to Phortse village(3840m) through pine and rhododendron forests. We reach to Pangboche(3950m) and reach to Amadablam Base Camp(4600m). Till Pangboche our route will be same as Everest Base camp Route. Along the way we visit famous Buddhist Monastery called Tengboche Monastery , which is very old, historical and built in 16th century. The foot print of 16th century 's Lama has been kept safely in the monastery.
Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and trip preparation
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Airport, A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will wait outside of the airport with your name signage to welcome you beautiful country Nepal. He/She will take you to the hotel. In the day, there will be trip briefing. We will provide you much more information in the briefing which helps you to prepare the trip nicely. In the evening you can explore touristic city Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding
Today we will take wonderful flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport Lukla. The scenic flight will take you about 40 minutes.
After reaching Lukla, we will walk down to Phakding(2650m) through Dudh Koshi valley. We will pass through beautiful Cheplung Village(2690m) with wonderful view of Mt. Khumbilla(5761m),a sacred mountain which is never climbed. We walk up and down on the side of Dudh Koshi river to reach Phakding. Overnight in Phakding

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
After having breakfast at Phakding, We will walk towards Namche Bazaar(3440m). We walk through pine forest and reach the valley of Chaurikharkha. We cross Dudh Koshi river and reach to beautiful Monjo village. After couple of minutes walking, We reach to Sagarmatha National Park Entrance gate. We will get Entrance ticket of National park and descend down to Jorsalle village. This will be last village before Namche Bazaar. We walk along side of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi river. A steep climb up from the last suspension bridge through pine forest, another 2 hours we reach to the beautiful Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4: Acclimatization day at Namche
Today is the rest day at Namche Bazaar. Although there are several things to do in Namche Bazaar, we go morning hike to the Everest View Hotel (3880m). On the way to Everest View Hotel, We will visit Sagarmatha National Park Museum. On the way we will have magnificent view of Lhotse(8516m), Amadablam(6812m),Khantega(6761m),Thamserku(6612m),Taboche(6495m),Cholatse(644om) and many other beautiful mountains. We will have tea/coffee at Everest View hotel with the view of Everest(8848m).
If you are interested in the day hike we can walk down to Khumjung Village(3790m). We can visit Khumjung Hillary School and Khunde Hospital established by Sir Edmund Hillary. We can visit Buddhist Monastery, where Yeti's head has been kept safely. We can explore Sherpa settlement, Sherpa lifestyles, meet local people in Khumjung village. After that we can walk down to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Namche to Phortse Village
We start our trek to Phortse(3680m), the trail is steady flat and several ups and down to Kyanjuma(3600m). Along the way, we have incredible view of Nuptse(7861m), Lhotse(8516m), Amadablam(6812m), Khantega(6735m),Thamserku(6812m) and so many other mountains.
After couple of minutes walking from Kyanjuma the trail intersects in two section. One goes to Gokyo lakes and another goes to Everest Base Camp. We follow the Gokyo route to reach Mongla Danda. From Mongla Danda, We descend down to beautiful Phortse village. Overnight in Phortse.

Day 6: Phortse to Pangboche
Today we hike to the Pangboche village(3950m). The trail is beautiful with mountain pass and sheer cliff in many places. We will see Tengboche Monastery, Khumjung Village little far way. Along the way we will have chances to see Himalayan Thar, Danphe Pheasant, yaks and so on. We will have stunning view of Amadablam mountain(6812m). Overnight in Pangboche.

Day 7: Day hike to Amadablam Base Camp and return to Pangboche
Today, We hike to Amadablam Base Camp(4600). Our trail descend down to Dudhkoshi river and climb uphill to Cholungche Kharka and gently ascend to Amadablam Base Camp. Along the way, We will have incredible view of view of Nuptse(7861m), Lhotse(8516m), Amadablam(6812m), Khantega(6735m),Thamserku(6812m), Pumori(7960m) and many mountains. While reaching Amadablam Base Camp(4600m), we will take pictures and descend to Pangboche village. Overnight in Pangboche.

Day 8: Pangboche to Kyanjuma
We descend down to Debuche by crossing the suspension bridge over Dudhkoshi river. After that we ascend to the Tengboche Monastery .We visit this historical and famous monastery of Khumbu region. Then we descend down to Phungithanka and ascend to Kyanjuma(3600m). Overnight in Kyanjuma.

Day 9: Kyanjuma to Manjo
Our trail descend down to Namche Bazaar(3440m). The trail from Kyanjuma to Namche is easiest section of today. After reaching Namche we steep descend to Jorsalle village. We pass the Sagarmatha National Park main gate and reach to Manjo. Overnight in Manjo.

Day 10 :Manjo to Lukla
From Manjo we hike to Lukla today through the Chaurikharkha village. We descend down to Phakding(2650m), and ascend to Lukla via Cheplung village. We pass by several suspension bridges and local houses to reach Lukla. We enjoy our last night of the mountain at Lukla. Overnight at Lukla

Day 11: Lukla to kathmandu
Your adventure journey come to end today. We catch early morning flight to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, We can take rest or go for shopping. If we have time, We can explore historical Kathmandu city. In the evening, you can go for shopping and enjoy. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Final Departure
Your wonderful journey to Nepal come to an end today. A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will drop to you at the airport, about 3 hours before your flight. We say Good Bye for this time and hope to see you in Nepal again for next adventure.
