Langtang valley trek with Ganja la Pass is one of the beautiful trekking region of Nepal. Langtang valley offers 360 view of gorgeous mountains. We will explore the Tibetan influenced culture, lifestyles, different flora and fauna. This trek is one of the easy and short trip which takes you near the base camp of many mountains.
The stunning view of Kyanjim Gompa(3800m) is really amazing. We will further hike to the Tseko Ri to capture sunrise view over the mountains. This trek takes you through bamboo and rhodendron forest and lots of waterfalls. We will explore different rural village of this region. During our trek we walk along the Langtang National Park, which conserve different kinds of rare animals such as Musk deer, Red Panda, Himalayan Thar, and Cheetah and so on.
The langtang Valley Trek with Ganja la Pass starts after driving about 160km North West from Kathmandu. We reach to Syabrubensi which is the starting point of our trek. Sybrubensi lies on the bank of Langtang River. Next day we cross the Langtang River and trek to Lama Hotel.
Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Airport, A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will wait outside of the airport with your name signage to welcome you to the beautiful country Nepal. He will take you to the hotel. In the day, there will be trip briefing. We will provide you much more information in the briefing which help you to prepare the trip nicely. In the evening you can explore touristic city Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trip preparation
Today we will go to explore UNESCO world heritage site of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. In the evening, there will be trip briefing with trek members along with you. We will give you much more information about the trip which helps you to prepare for the trek nicely. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi
Today we will leave for Syabrubensi from Kathmandu by passing Nuwakot district. We will see beautiful landscapes, local villages, rivers, forests, different kinds of animals and reach to Dunche. Dhunche is the district headquarter of Rasuwa district. Next half an hour drive from Dhunche takes us beautiful town of Sybrubensi. The driving to syabrubensi from Kathymandu is about 6 hours. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel
Today we will trek to Lama Hotel after crossing the bridge over the Langtang River. We reach to hot spring and Pairo where some tea houses are located. From Pairo we see the beautiful view and we can stop for some tea coffee break. We see Thulo Sybru on the other side. We continue our trek to Bamboo through dense forest. Bamboo is located at the bank of Langatang River. Normally we stop for the lunch at this place. We continue our trek to Lama Hotel by passing beautiful waterfalls, landscapes. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village
After having breakfast, we begin our trek to Langtang village. Langtang village is the most affected village due to earthquake 2015. About 200 people have been killed due to massive earthquake hit the Nepal. About 9000 people died all over the Nepal. We walk through dense forest and river gorges to reach to the Ghodatabela. We normally stop for the lunch in this place. About an hour hike from Ghodatabela, we reach to the Thangshyap. The forest opens up after reaching Thangshyap. We walk through open meadows to the Langtang village. The old Langtang village now shifted in a new place. Overnight in Langtang village.

Day 06: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa
After having breakfast, we start our trek to Kyanjin Gompa. In the clear day, we will have very beautiful view of mountains when we reach the top of the Langtang village. We reach to Mundu village within an hour from Langtang village. Today's trail is not very difficult but gaining altitude might be an issue. We walk along the bank of Langtang River. We cross several monasteries before reaching Kyanjin Gompa. We pass by local hydropower and reach to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 07: Acclimatization-Explore Tserko Ri
Today we start our trek before the sunrise. Today is reserved for the Acclimatization day at Kyanjin Gompa. Early morning, we hike to Tseko Ri to capture the stunning sunrise view over the glorious mountains. It does not necessary to reach the top of the hill. We will set our own boundaries when hiking. We will take pictures, videos and return back to our Tea Houses to have food. On the day, we can go around the Kyanjin Gompa to explore more about this place. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 08 : Trek to Ganjala Phedi
Today we start our trek to Ganjala Phedi. We walk towards Langtang river with a great view, we cross the river and walk to the rhododendron forests. The path is normally covered with snow in the winter. Overnight in Ganja la Phedi.
Day 09 : Cross the Ganja la Pass and Trek to Kheldang
Today's trek might be difficult as we are crossing Ganja la Pass. Ganja la Pass situated in the rocky marine. We we reach at the top of the hill, we will see very beautiful view of mountains. Overnight in Kheldang.
Day 10 : Trek down to Yak Kharka
Today's trek is about 6-7 hrs. to Yak Kharka. We will follow the ridge to the Yak Kharkha. Today we will mostly walk downwards. Overnight in Yak Kharkha.
Day 11 : Trek to Tarek Ghang
Today we will leave to Tarek Ghang. We will walk to Melamchi Khola which is the settlement of Sherpa people. We will visit oldest monastery of this village. Overnight in Tarek Ghang.
Day 12 : Trek to Sermathang
After having breakfast, we start our trek to Sermathang. We don't feel difficult today as we are walking lower elevation. We will explore Semathang village when we reach to this place. Overnight in Sermathang.
Day 13 : Trek to Melamchi
Today we will trek to Melamchi village. The place is mostly inhabited by Sherpa people. The people in the village are very friendly. We explore the Melamchi village. Overnight in Melamchi.
Day 14 : Drive to Kathmandu
Today we will drive to Kathmandu from Melamchi. The drive from Melamchi to Kathmandu is about 3 hrs. After reaching Kathmandu, you can explore touristic city Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.
Day 15 : Final Departure to your destination
Your wonderful journey to Nepal come to an end today. A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will drop to you at the airport, about 3 hours before your flight. We say Good Bye for this time and hope to see you in Nepal again for next adventure.
