Tamang heritage trek is a suitable trek for those who wants to experience the local culture, lifestyles, tradition of remote hilly region of Nepal. This trek start after driving to Syabrubensi from Kathmandu. This trek you will experience Tibetian Buddhist influenced society and their life living.
After earthquake 2015, Syabrubensi becoming the main route to trade between Nepal and Tibet. This trek offers you the pristine view of Ganesh Himal ranges, Nagthali Gyang, Langtang Himal ranges and so many glorious mountains. This is a short and beautiful trek in Langtang region which never feel you bored. Everyday trek will be something new to learn. Details Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Airport, A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will wait outside of the airport with your name signage to welcome you to the beautiful country Nepal. He will take you to the hotel. In the day, there will be trip briefing. We will provide you much more information in the briefing which help you to prepare the trip nicely. In the evening you can explore touristic city Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trip preparation
Today we will go to explore UNESCO world heritage site of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. In the evening, there will be trip briefing with trek members along with you. We will give you much more information about the trip which helps you to prepare for the trek nicely. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi
Today we will leave for Syabrubensi from Kathmandu by passing Nuwakot district. We will see beautiful landscapes, local villages, rivers, forests, different kinds of animals and reach to Dunche. Dhunche is the district headquarter of Rasuwa district. Next half an hour drive from Dhunche takes us beautiful town of Sybrubensi. The driving to syabrubensi from Kathymandu is about 6 hours. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

Day 04: Syabrubesi to Ghatlang
After having breakfast, we leave for Ghatlang. Ghatlang trekking offers you insightful information about Tamang culture, yak pastures, waterfalls, meadows. We reach to view point Goljung from there we see very beautiful view of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Langshisha Ri, Sanjen Himal and many more mountains. Overnight in Ghatlang.

Day 05: Ghatlang to Tatopani
Today we hike to tatopani from Ghatlang. The didtance from Ghatlang to Tatopani is about 12.4 km and takes 6-7 hrs. to reach Tatopani. We walk through Thambuchet, Chilime dam, Gonggang and finally reach to Tatopani. Overnight in Tatopani.

Day 06: Tatopani to Thuman
Tatopani to Thuman is another interesting day for Tamang Heritage Trek. Tatopani to Thuman trekking distance is about 9.3 km long and 5-6 hrs walk. The trek pass through beautiful landscapes, mani walls, nagthali ghyang and descend down to Thuman. Overnight in Thuman.

Day 07: Thuman to Briddim
Today we leave to Briddim from Thuman. The trek pass through steep descent to Bhote Koshi river. We reach to Pelko village after crossing a river. Briddim village is highly influenced by Tibetan culture and tradition. Overnight in Briddim

Hiking: 6 hrs.

Day 08: Trek from Briddim to Syabrubensi
Today is the final day for the Tamang Heritage Trek. We pass through beautiful local village, terrace fields, peaceful valleys, rhododendron forest and Bhotekoshi river. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

Day 09: Drive from Syabrubensi to Kathmandu
Today we take a bus or Jeep to reach to the Kathmandu. We reach to Dhunche, the district headquarter of this region. We drive through local village, beautiful landscapes, rivers and reach to Kathmandu. The drive from Sybrubensi to Kathmandu is about 6 hrs.

Hiking: 6-7 hrs.

Day 10: Final Departure
Your wonderful journey to Nepal come to an end today. A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will drop to you at the airport, about 3 hours before your flight. We say Good Bye for this time and hope to see you in Nepal again for the next holiday.
